About CVCA
Our Mission and Heart
A Purposeful Foundation
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) is more than a college-preparatory school; it is a community dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ.
Since our founding, our mission has been to provide an environment where academic excellence and spiritual formation are inextricably linked. We believe that every student is uniquely designed by God, and our role is to help them discover their gifts, develop their talents, and deploy them for a life of Kingdom impact.
The Relational Difference
At the center of the CVCA experience is what we call the “Ministry of Availability.” From the Student Ministries Office to our specialized faculty, our staff is committed to walking alongside students through every transition of middle and high school. Whether it’s navigating the rigors of an AP course, exploring a new passion in the iLab, or seeking biblical wisdom during a difficult season, our students are never just a number, they are known, mentored, and encouraged.
Equipping for Excellence
Our diverse offerings – from the innovative Schools of Distinction and Jterm experiences to our championship-winning athletics and vibrant Fine Arts programs – are all designed with one goal in mind: preparation. We empower students to move from curiosity to competency, graduating with the critical thinking skills, academic credits, and spiritual maturity necessary to thrive at the university level and beyond. At CVCA, we don’t just prepare students for the next step; we equip them to impact the world for Christ.
Voices From Our Community
Don’t just take our word for it. Hear how our small school system shapes students’ hearts, minds, and faith.
“I am thankful to be at CVCA because I am surrounded by people who not only aid me academically, but guide me in my walk in Christ. I feel safe in this environment, and am thankful that I get to go to a place that encourages and loves me.”

Xavier Student
“As the youngest of a large family, I basically grew up at CVCA. I went to basketball and soccer games - cheering with the big girls. When I finished my teaching degree, I immediately thought of the Academy. Teaching here is like coming home.”
